Privacy Policy
Scrapely is a Chrome extension that detects repeating data on web pages and exports it to files. We built it to work entirely on your device.
What we collect
Nothing. Scrapely does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal data. It has no accounts, analytics, or tracking, and it sends nothing to servers run by us.
What the extension does locally
- Page content: when you start a job, Scrapely reads the page you chose in order to build your table. Rows stay in the side panel until you export or clear them.
- Saved setups: if you choose "Save this setup for this site", the selectors and settings (not page content) are stored locally with chrome.storage and can be deleted any time.
- Network activity: the only requests are page loads you start yourself, such as moving to the next page or opening links for detail collection.
Permissions
- Access to all sites: needed so you can scrape any site you choose. It acts only when you start a job.
- sidePanel, scripting, storage, power: to show the interface, load the extraction script, save setups, and optionally keep your computer awake.
Limited use
We do not use or transfer user data for purposes unrelated to the extension's single purpose, do not sell it, and do not use it for advertising or lending decisions.
Your responsibility
Data you collect may be personal data of others. You are responsible for having the right to collect and use it, and for following applicable laws and each site's terms.
Children
Scrapely is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
